Q: Just a quick question - Is a team always allowed  a certain number of C rated players in their reserve team - For example if a C rated player leaves your club in real life can that manager swap that C rated player for another player at the club in real life at that time?

A: Truth is you don't have any control over C stats players and how many and who they are. They are simply loaned out to you to help out make up the numbers. relying on them wont build up your reserves enough for it to be an asset to the team.
The max of C status players is six, but if you need the six then your squad probably hasn't been put together well enough as you shouldn't need that many to be healthy.
Players who no longer play for your side can leave at any time, you cant control that. They will go if the manager of the side they play for in real life requests them or when I update the C status players which I do a couple of times a year when the transfer window is closed.
The best teams request the players and regularly turnover players as a good set up can easily turnover a profit of over £20m a season. Also players requested tend to more likely to be created at 74 75 skills whereas C status players often drop down to 73.
Best advice is to manage the reserve team fully yourself and not rely on the computer to give you players.
