Four-Way
English League Battle. Losses by joint English league leaders
Manchester United and Sunderland this turn has opened the league title race
up and we have a four-way joint leadership of the table as we go into the
middle of the season. Manchester City and Arsenal have
joined the previous joint leaders at the top of the table after completing
away wins this turn. City defeated Fulham 2-1 in London, whilst Arsenal beat
Bolton 2-0 thanks to goals from Johnathon Woodgate and John Obi Mikel. To make the title race even close,
Spurs are in fifth position after winning 2-0 at home over Liverpool and just
a point off the pace set by the new leadership quartet. The closing up of the English race
was generated by Aston Villa and Everton after they had home wins this turn
over the joint leaders going into the turn. Villa saw off Sunderland 3-0
thanks to goals from Hernanes, Emile Heskey and Ricardo Carvalho. Everton beat Manchester United at
home in a 3-1 home win, despite a goal from Nani
for the travellers. Louis Saha scored twice for the
home side, with John Carew completing the scoring and ensuring the three
points for the Toffeemen. Not so tight in Italy, with Inter
Milan keeping their remarkable perfect record to nine wins after edging a 1-0
win at Cagliari this week. Nicolas Anelka got the
winner to see Inter move into a five point lead from AC Milan, who beat Genoa
3-2 at home. Juventus slip down to third place
after a goalless draw at Lazio to allow AC Milan to move back into the final
Champions league qualification place. Jesus Navas scored
twice in the San Siro for AC with veteran defender Nesta completing the scoring to ensure a Milan domination
of the top places. Bayern Munich put in adominant 4-0 performance at Hannover to close the gap
between them and leaders Wolfsburg to a single point. Mario Gomez got two
goals, with also efforts from Miroslav Klose and Daniel Van Buyten to
pile the pressure on the leaders. Wolfsburg slipped up slightly
after being held to a 1-1 draw at Schalke 04, but
hold onto their leadership by a single point. Paris Saint Germain
remains three points clear of the chasing French pack after just beating Toulouse
1-0 at home. Sankhare with the only goal of the
game to keep them clear of Bordeaux. Spanish giants Barcelona and Real
Madrid recovered from their shock losses last turn with comeback wins this
turn. Villarreal stays with the giants after a 2-1 home win over Sevilla to maintain a three-way leadership of the Spanish
league. However both Barcelona and Real go ahead of Villarreal thanks to superior
goal difference. With Barca keeping top spot by two
goals after an excellent 3-2 win on the road at tricky opponents Valencia. Sporting CP are
three points clear of he European division despite a 1-1 draw at home with FC
Porto. Benfica move into joint second after a Javier Saviola
hat-trick saw off bottom of the table Olympiakos in
a 3-0 home win. Transfer

3 MATCH 5 DEADLINE: Matches
to be played on Friday 10th September 2010. Usual cup selection
rules apply. T-List Codes Believe
it or not but after 3+ years, some managers are still using the wrong codes
when using the transfer list.To bid for a player you must use LST BID or BID
to bid for a player you want to buy. To put
one of your players on the list you must use PLACE. If you use the wrong code it will be ignored, this avoids
confusion all round. So double check your turns. Bid
To Un- Managed Sides. Knowing what to bid for
players at un-managed sides can be tricky for many managers, especially as
there is no feedback from rejected bids. So here are a few things to bear in
mind. The computer compares the
First team on skill before and after any deal. If the team improves it has a
better chance, if it doesn’t then you are probably wasting your time. Cash is of little use to a
side with no manager, so are players that don’t get into the team. So i always suggest you half the value of any player you may
offer if they are not close to getting a game with a possible new club. Some managers have a quick
guide they use for bids. Simply make sure you bid has at least two from the
following three categories. 1) Players of
Higher skill than the players wanted 2) Offered
Players are under 30 years of age, or younger than the players you want. 3) They are home
group to that side, even in games with no overseas rule it can be helpful to
have ‘home players’. Hope
that helps. World
