Spurs
Get League Thanks To Arsenal! Newly crowned English league
champions Tottenham Hotspur have North London rivals Arsenal to thank for
their first league title this season after they defeated leaders and title
favourites Manchester United on the final day of the league season. The win combined
with Spurs’ win at home over relegated Birmingham meant the title leadership
changed at the final stage of the season to see Spurs the new league
champions! Goals from Bastian Schwesintger and Fernango Gago cancelled out a goal for confused Man United from Dimitar Berbatov to ensure a that
the trophy ceremony wouldn’t be happening at Old Trafford after the match. A
change of formation on the most important game of the season was United’s
undoing ultimately to leave them in second position, a point behind the new
league champions. In fact it was goals from Mikel Arteta, Ledley King and Maraoune Chamakh that meant the celebrations were in the capital
to further deepen the despair of a defeated and relegated visiting Birmingham
City. Real Madrid held onto the Spanish title
with a 4-0 win at Almeria to hold off Barcelona and to end a great turn for
the games new World champions after their win in the Champions league. A.C
Milan prevented them from winning a treble as they won the Pro-Soccer Cup
over the Spaniards, to comfort the disappointed fans after just missing out
on the Italian league. Neighbours and defending champions
Inter Milan retained their title after a win at former leaders AS Roma. The result
in Rome meant that Milan’s 3-1 home win over Napoli has no effect on the
final league standings, but proves they are positioned well to take the title
next season from their neighbours. Lille kept their French league
leadership on the final day to be crowned the league champions after 2-0 home
win over Monaco to keep Lyon from winning the title after they also won their
week 22 fixtures. Shaktar
Donetsk make up the season 2 league champions after pipping
Ajax after a 3-0 home win over PSV Eindhoven. Ajax’s win over previous
leaders Benfica on the road meant the Ukrainians win the league ahead of the
sides that have headed the division for much of the season. Rangers had already clinched the
league title in Scotland, which was probably for the best as they lost their
final league fixture at Dundee United. Similar problems for German champions
Bayern Munich who end the season with with a 1-1
draw at Hamburg, but they stll win the title by
five clear points. The

Email Of Turn Results Etc. Don’t forget it is cheaper to
play if you want to have your entire turn faxed or emailed to you INSTEAD of
having a paper turn posted turn to you. You can swap and change between these
methods each turn, otherwise the computer will
automatically send your turn the same way as it did last turn. Scout reports or any other
game data can be sent via fax or email at the same charge as it would be if
included on your turncard. If
you want something via fax, make sure you have clearly stated the fax number
and the time to send (if possible). Any orders should be sent back
to you within 48 hours of asking. This means you don’t have to wait till the
next turn to get a scout report etc your forgot to
request the previous turn. A £1 admin charge is normal if
you want a fax/email turn after a paper turn has been posted or if you want
your turns sent both ways. NOTE:
All scout reports sent to you via email are currently charged at half price. Sending
Turncard Bids Each Turn. Don’t forget you can send bids
to any manager in the game offering your players in a deal for their players.
This is useful, especially if the manager does not have contact details. Also
if you receive a bid, but don’t want to take it you can always send the team a
counter offer which might be acceptable to both sides. Bids are free so use
them to help do more deals. Upgrading
Players Skills: You can train any player's skill up to
a maximum of 79 skills. You do this by simply upgrading a player on the bids
section of your turncard. It's costs £3 million per skill level increased and
can be done on any player until he is a maximum of 79 skills. To do this state the players number
next the COACH section of the turncard, listed below the turncard bids
section of the turncard. You are only allowed to do ONE coaching action per turn, you can however earn extra actions in a turn by
winning Manager of the Month Prizes etc. A player's skill upgrade is done
BEFORE any league/cup matches are played so they can be selected at their new
skill level on your turncard(s), providing that the cost does not take you
past your overdraft limit of £2 million. Reducing
Players Injuries: Like upgrading a player's
skill upwards you can reduce a player's injury by using the clubs physio. Like skill upgrades you can pay £3 million for a
week to lessen a player's injury status. To do this state the players
number next the PHYSIO section of the turncard, listed below the turncard
bids section of the turncard. You are
only allowed to do TWO Physio actions a turn, you can however earn extra actions in a turn by
winning Manager of the Month Prizes etc. Phsyio actions are
done BEFORE league/cup matches are played and if you cancel an injury
entirely the player can be selected for that turns matches, providing the
cost of this action does not take you past the maximum overdraft limit of £2
million. NOTE:
Teams with reserve sides get double the number of actions, as they can be
done on both teams. Transfer
List Review: Spurs sign Edin
Dzeko for a fee of £20 million for the Bosnian
attacker. Chelsea make the double signings of
Defenders Simon Kjaer (£13m) and Jose Enrique
(£11.5m). Liverpool get the veteran Italian
midfielder Alessandro Pirlo for the fee of £16 million.
Two defenders move to FC Koln. Benopi Assou Ekotto joins the German
club for a bargain £9.1 million. He is joined by Alex who moves for £10
million. Real Madrid get Spanish winger David Capel
for £9.125 million to bolster the World champions ranks for the campaign on
several fronts next season. Good
Sides Available. There are still plenty of
decent sides available in this game so if you have a friend/relative
interested in the game then send me their details. Returning managers will
have their account cleared of any debt. More Adverts! Over 75% players that move each turn or either listed on
the transfer list or in the player adverts. If you do not advertise then you
have less of a chance of doing deals Season
Three: Plenty of time to get your
turns for week 1, the next deadline isn’t until Friday 17th
February. Check out the website for week 1 fixtures. Season Discount Offer. Save £7! Yes you can save £6:80 in free turns
if you pay for the whole season’s fee for one side in advance by the next
turn deadline. If you send a cheque/postal order to us that will
make you account balance of at least £35 on the stated deadline then we will
credit your account with an additional £6.80 to pay for the whole season.
(£1:90 x 22 weeks = £41;80 This saving means you can enjoy Pro-Soccer even
more and not have to worry about being sacked due to an accidental late
payment. Plus you get £6:80 extra in free turns. Any extra-printouts etc will be paid as normal as
are any additional sides you may manage during the season. HOWEVER it is up to you how
the money is spent within the game, it does not have to last the full season.
This offer is only applicable to one side per manager and money will only be
credited if a manager if £30 in credit or more on the stated deadline. Therefore if you owe £1 on the
enclosed turncards then send payment for £36 to
take advantage of this offer. To
take advantage of this offer payment must be here by the week 1 deadline and
no later. Season
Changes: The new skill levels for ALL
players are correct for this turns fixtures and are valid from now onwards. Goals and MOM awards will be
cleared in time for the next turn’s results. As normal players disc points
will remain the same. You will be able to loan
players and use the tribunal from now on as normal. If you want to change
your side(s) then ask a.s.a.p and I will send you
them in time for the new season if possible. Wk
22 Scouts. If you have ordered any scout
reports or a copy of this turns Tlist, please note
the skill levels ARE the new correct skills for the season. As are the skills
on your squad list enclosed. You can now place adverts with the new skills
for new turns FTB. Also if you sent or received
any turncard bids, they are the NEW skills that are listed on the receiving teams turncards. Retirements: For this turn only you can
retire players off your squad for a small compensation fee. Each player you
retire will get you £1/2 million no matter the age or skill of the player.
Make sure you do not go below the minimum squad limit of 16. To retire a
player fill out the bids section of the turncard with the code RETIRE. Reserve
Team Free Agents: You can also make any C status players in your
reserve teams FREE AGENTS by doing the same action as retiring. But you
CANNOT re request them at a later date, as these players will be free to join
any team in the game. Season 2 Prizes. Some
of the season prizes will be allocated this turn and the rest during weeks
1-3 of new season. Your transfer News sheet will list confirmation of a
prize. So far the top two sides for
all divisions have been credited with a PS cash prize for winning promotion.
Remember the Top Two first division sides also receive entry into next
seasons Champions league. The Rest will be done during weeks 1,2 & 3 as normal. Keep an eye on your transfer news
sheet for exact details. Deals
Listings Subs Etc. Don’t forget you have to
re-order the season’s subscription if you want the deals listing send to you
every turn. Simply ask this turn. You also no longer have to ask for a
transfer list at all, as it is now sent to all managers automatically at
no extra charge. Scout reports and match
reports are at a record low in this game, don’t know why but explains why the
managers who do use all features of the game are currently showing most of
the success. |
