Firm Win Sees Celtic Go Top. Scottish champions Celtic are back
on top of the Scottish league title race, albeit on goal difference from
Hibernian after winning their home Old Firm clash this week, to depose
Rangers at the top of the table. Celtic has been the busier in the
transfer market, and the bolstering of their squad is proving valuable in
their bid to retain their league title. However it was longer serving player
Barry Robson who was the mean reason for the three points. Two goals from the
midfielder along with an opener from French international Dibril
Cisse was enough to take the three points from
their rivals and overtake them at the top of the table. Striker pair Kris Boyd and Kenny
Miller got the goals for the travelling sides, but all to no avail as Rangers
slip to third place and two points behind the two sides ahead of them.
Hibernian keep pace with new leaders Celtic after a 3-0 home win over
Aberdeen to keep them level on points with the Glasgow club but seven goals
behind the tally set by Celtic. Aston Villa have moved into second
place and the main English title rivals to Manchester United after a 3-1 away
win at Arsenal this turn. The Birmingham club move into second place thanks
to the win combined with dropped points by Chelsea and Liverpool this week.Man City ended the unbeaten run of Chelsea at home
2-1 to allow Villa to move a point ahead of the Londoners. Whilst Spurs upset
Liverpool at White Hart Lane by another 2-1 home scoreline to see Wigan move
level on points with the Anfield club. Wigan continues to compete with the
divisions elite clubs despite a 3-2 loss at unbeaten leaders Manchester
United. A.C Milan overtake visitors Lyon
to head the Euro league title race after a 2-1 home win over the French side.
Defenders Dani Alves and
Giorgio Chiellini got the goals for the new league
leaders to cancel out a goal from French international midfielder for Jeremy Toulalan. Real Madrid have stopped their
losing run of late with a 2-0 home win over Shaktar
Donetsk but still find themselves eight points off the pace thanks to goals
from Cannavaro and Pepe.
AS Roma move up the standings as along with A.C Milan they were on the only
side to win their game in the top five places. They beat Ajax 3-1 at home to
leave them in fifth place after two goals from John Arne Riise.
Barcelona get closer to the top five positions after a 2-1 win at fourth
placed Werder Bremen as the Neu Camp giants will be
looking to get back into the title hunt in the coming turns. Stilian Petrov and Fernando
Torres were on the scoresheet for the travelling Spanish side, Midfielder Barnetta got the only goal fr
their German hosts as they missed a cancel to go joint top of the table with
a win. Sao Paulo remains ahead of the
World league table, after a 2-0 home win over Pachuca. The win keeps them a
goal clear of Boca Juniors and a point clear of champions Cruzeiro as all
three sides won their games this turn. Transfer

Forum For Managers. The Stoke City manager has set
up a internet forum for managers from all games to discus all matters of the
game, do deals etc.Such forums have been very
useful in the past, so check it out. You can find the form at http://prosoccerpbm.phpbbhosts.co.uk/ Application
For New Game. Find enclosed an application
form for the latest new game we are hoping to get underway in the next few
weeks. If interested in taking on a
side simply return the form by the end of the month (MARCH). It is NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. So as long as they are here by the March
31st you will get treated the same as everyone else. YOU WILL GET THE CHANCE TO MANAGE THE
TOP CLUBS, just like every applicant. Couple of
Things TO Remember: Like with other game start
ups, priority will go to managers giving a full list of choices of teams to
manage. New managers will get around
60% of the teams allocated with the remaining will go to existing managers.
This means Top sides like Man United WILL GO TO BOTH NEW AND OLD MANAGERS. DEPOSIT: Please not
there is a £5 deposit, this will be taken from your account on receipt of the
application, (unless payment is enclosed) and will be returned to you once
the game is underway. This just makes sure managers that really want to a manage a side gets a team and i
don’t have a load of drop outs as soon as the game starts! Any
questions, just ask. |
