Draws Blight The Top Europeans. Stalemates were the order of the day for the top title challenging European sides this turn leaving little changes at the top of the BFL and CFL tables. The SAFL however saw the two main title challengers buck that trend with victories to also leave no change at the top of the standings. Celtic stay at the top of the BFL table, but have been joined by newboys Man City as the Glaswegian giants were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Man United this turn. With the signing of Lewandowski the home side will be more confident of a strong title challenge this season, but will be disappointed to drop points at home but stay unbeaten so far this season. Ryan Christie scored for the table toppers, but a goal from Manuel Ugarte earned a share of the points for the travelling side. Meanwhile at Villa Park, the two title favourites met with Aston Villa being held at home by champions Chelsea to leave both sides just a point behind to leading duo. AC Milan and Marseilles made the most of the dropped points by the two CFL title favourites. AC Milan move level with Barcelona on 13 points after a 2-0 home win in the Milan derby. Marseilles are just a point further off the pace in fourth after crushing Monaco 4-0 at home to leave their visitors rooted at the foot of the table awaiting their first points of the campaign. Goals from Lemina, Heung Min, Gvardiol and Ruben Neves got on the scoresheet to move the former champions right back into the title picture after the draws at the top of the table. No such problems with points being shared by the top two SAFL challengers. Champions Estudiantes remain perfect at the top of the table with win number 6 after a 4-0 road win at Boca Juniors.
